High Speed – Low Temperature
The sun shone and kept me warm when I drove through Grand Est, the air filled with sweet flavours and every now and then I had a coffee and a very good conversation in one of the french petit cafés. Sometimes I just sat there and looked at the Multistrada thinking about the next adventure – the thoughts only interrupted by a friendly „bonjour“.
This was my vision of today when I went to bed last night.
The reality looked quite different! Fog came up which was dense enough to cover the sun. It had -5°C and I decided not to go for a fun ride. So I headed to the motorway and from then on it was just cold, lonely and grey. I wanted to escape the bad weather, but nothing changed. – As an endurist I can do both – enjoy the good and handle the bad conditions!
It paid off – after all I could see my brother who came 300km to meet me. We chitchatted next to the Multistrada. He could relieve how I felt with the coldness as he once drove with his Cagiva Elefant to the North Cape.
As you can see in the attached pics, I do have heated gloves as well!
Note: Tomorrow I am at the Audi Museum in Ingolstadt at 15 o`clock, feel free to join me there. Would be nice if some motorcyclists show up.
